This refund policy outlines the circumstances under which Komee may issue refunds for subscription payments. We aim to be fair and transparent while protecting our business from abuse.

2. Subscription Refunds

2.1 General Policy

Komee operates on a monthly subscription model with the following refund terms:

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
  • We generally do not offer refunds for partial months
  • Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis

2.2 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

For first-time subscribers, we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee:

  • Applies only to your first subscription payment
  • Request must be made within 7 days of initial payment
  • Full refund will be issued if requested within this period
  • Account will be downgraded to free tier

2.3 Service Issues

If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the service, we may issue a prorated refund:

  • Must report the issue promptly
  • Issue must be verified by our team
  • Refund will be prorated based on downtime
  • Minor interruptions (less than 24 hours) are not eligible

3. Non-Refundable Items

The following are NOT eligible for refunds:

  • Used credits: Credits that have been used to generate comics cannot be refunded
  • Subscription renewals: Automatic renewals are not refundable (you can cancel before renewal)
  • Buyer's remorse: Refunds after the 7-day guarantee period are at our discretion
  • Dissatisfaction with AI output: AI-generated content quality is subjective and not grounds for refund
  • Account termination: If your account is terminated for violating Terms of Service, no refund will be issued

4. Cancellation vs. Refund

4.1 How Cancellation Works

When you cancel your subscription:

  • You retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • No refund is issued for the current period
  • You will not be charged again
  • Remaining credits expire at period end

4.2 When to Cancel

To avoid being charged for the next month, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date.

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method

6. Chargebacks

Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company:

  • Please contact us first to resolve the issue
  • Chargebacks may result in permanent account suspension
  • We will dispute illegitimate chargebacks
  • Chargeback fees may be added to your account

7. Price Changes

If we increase subscription prices:

  • You will be notified at least 30 days in advance
  • Current subscribers are grandfathered at their current rate for 3 months
  • You can cancel before the price increase takes effect
  • No refund is issued if you continue at the new price

8. Exceptions

We reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis, particularly for:

  • Extended service outages
  • Billing errors on our part
  • Duplicate charges
  • Other extenuating circumstances
